About Arian

Arian Tafti is a competitive powerlifter, certified personal trainer (CSEP-CPT), and Honors Kinesiology student at McMaster University with a strong passion for strength training, performance, and helping people build confidence through fitness. Alongside years of personal lifting experience, Arian has worked with athletes, general population clients, and rehabilitation-focused populations through coaching, sport medicine, and strength & conditioning environments. His background includes working with varsity athletes, personal training clients, and applied biomechanics and performance testing.

Arian believes fitness should improve every aspect of a person’s life — physically, mentally, and emotionally. His coaching style focuses on education, sustainability, and building confidence in the gym rather than relying on extreme approaches or quick fixes. He believes every client deserves individualized guidance, accountability, and a supportive environment where they can progress safely while still being challenged to grow.

Arian specializes in strength training, body composition, athletic performance, and helping beginners feel comfortable in the gym environment. His experience in kinesiology, biomechanics, and coaching allows him to combine evidence-based training with practical real-world application. Whether the goal is fat loss, building muscle, improving athletic performance, or simply feeling healthier and more confident, Arian aims to help members create long-term habits and sustainable results.

Questionaire

What do you say to the person who’s afraid to begin exercising?
Everyone starts somewhere. Nobody walks into the gym knowing everything. The hardest part is starting, and once you do, you’ll realize most people are focused on improving themselves too. My goal is to make that first step feel comfortable and achievable.

Favorite Exercise?
Barbell Bench Press

What do you do when you’re not whipping people into shape?
Training, watching sports, spending time with friends and family, learning more about exercise science, and staying involved in the strength and conditioning world.

Who do you look up to?
I look up to coaches and mentors who combine high-level knowledge with humility and genuine care for people. The best coaches are the ones who can positively impact someone both inside and outside the gym.

Guilty Indulgence?
Sour Candy

If you were a superhero who would it be & why?
Spider-Man — because he’s relatable, disciplined, and always tries to do the right thing while balancing pressure and responsibility.

Your secret to success?
Consistency. Small actions repeated over time always beat short bursts of motivation.

It’s not the size of a dog in a fight, it`s the size of the fight in a dog.
